Made in moris

RAMP Project Consultants Ltd is proud to be the first construction consultancy firm (Project Management and Quantity Surveying) in Mauritius to achieve the Made in Moris label - an independent endorsement of our Mauritian roots, ethical practice and long-term value creation. Earning the Made in Moris label reflects our company-wide commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): building local capability, fostering decent and inclusive work, strengthening community partnerships and embedding responsible procurement and governance. We view Made in Moris as a continuing pledge to deliver projects that are locally grounded, professionally managed and transparently reported - so our clients, partners, and communities can trust the outcomes we deliver.

Below is a summary of the SDGs prioritized, measured and contributed to by RAMP Project Consultants Ltd.

SDG 1: No Poverty

Annual community investment to reduce poverty and improve inclusive education (e.g., child sponsorships; support to special-needs education).

We contribute to poverty alleviation through targeted yearly community investment. Funds prioritise initiatives that expand access to education and essential services in our host communities.

SDG 3 - Good Health & Well-Being

Healthy workplace culture (weekly team exercise walk; supportive office environment; safe practices on projects).

Employee well-being underpins productivity and safe delivery on projects. We promote an active, supportive culture through weekly team exercise walks, a healthy office environment and regular team lunches, reflected in our latest 100% attendance rate (excluding approved leave). Health and safety practices are embedded in project management routines and reviewed quarterly.

SDG 4: Quality Education

Ongoing professional development (Weekly internal training sessions; knowledge sharing).

We invest in continuous learning via weekly internal training and knowledge-sharing, ensuring each employee completes more than eight hours of professional development annually. A simple training register tracks completion and content, allowing us to identify skill gaps, plan future modules and demonstrate capability-building to clients and auditors.

SDG 8: Decent Work & Economic Growth

Fair employment model and stability. Employees earn above the national minimum wage and are on permanent contract.

Our employment model is built on fairness and stability: 100% of employees earn at least the national minimum wage and 100% are on permanent contracts. We benchmark wages annually against national thresholds and prioritise local suppliers, supporting inclusive economic growth within Mauritius while maintaining high standards on site.

SDG 12: Responsible Consumption & Production

Responsible office procurement; digital-first; waste minimisation; shift paper to recycled content.

We are moving to a digital-first way of working and are formalising a policy to source 100% of paper from recycled content. Staff are encouraged to reduce, reuse and responsibly dispose of materials to minimise waste across office and project activities.

SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals

Strengthening local partnerships and embed sustainability clauses with suppliers.

We strengthen multi-stakeholder relationships across clients, local suppliers and industry networks as part of our MiM journey. To embed sustainability in our value chain, we are increasing the percentage of supplier engagements that include sustainability clauses.
